Welcome!

Regent Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is a women’s service organization dedicated to promoting Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism, and honoring our patriot ancestors of the Revolutionary War.

The San Diego Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is the oldest in San Diego County. The San Diego Chapter has a rich history which began on December 9, 1910, at the Hillcrest home of our organizing Regent, where 33 women gathered.

Our members are all direct descendants of American Revolutionary War Patriots who have a deep love of country and honor our America heritage. We are ladies from a variety of backgrounds, of all ages with a sundry of abilities, professions and talents.

From January through May and September through December each third Friday of the month, we come together for Chapter Business and a luncheon meeting with a program presented by a guest speaker.

Our other activities include promoting:

  • Americanism
  • American History Studies in Schools
  • Commemorative Events
  • Conservation
  • Constitution Week
  • Genealogy
  • Good Citizenship
  • Historic Preservation
  • Honor and Promote the American Flag
  • Literacy
  • Native American Projects and Awareness
  • Patriotism
  • Service to America
  • Support Veterans and United Service Organization (USO)

We are inspired by the deeds, dreams and sacrifices of our patriot ancestors and value the participation of each cherished and respected member in their service to our community, which is done in honor and pride of their patriot ancestor’s contribution to the founding of our nation.
